Skills Challenge - February 23, 2025
Members gathered on the Kiva courts to test their skills. Participants tested their tennis skill in the serve, lob, volley, and ground strokes by aiming at stationary targets. We also clocked your serve speed in addition to other fun activities. Participants earned a raffle ticket for each target they hit. Thanks to the participants and leaders!
Fun Team Tennis Tournament - February 8, 2025
The February Fun Teams Tennis Tournament was a major success. From Manley: Today’s tournament was terrific and I know from the many comments at the end that a good time was had by one and all. Thank you all for playing and making it a success. Unlike the past few times we offered this tournament, when only a few points separated the teams throughout, this time one of the teams proved very dominant both halfway through and to the end. At the half-way mark, the team scores were 240, 193, 186, and 185, while the final totals were, Red Team 452, Blue Team 389, Yellow Team 372, and White Team 364. Congratulations to the winners; Chris Thurrott, Ruth Wehling, Jim Baisch, Betti Thoma, Benny Biesmans, Cheryl Churchman, Kim Larsen, and Dan Sarver.
